How To Upgrade Your CRM Subscription
This page is outdated and will be deprecated soon. At this time, all users start their free trial on the top Fern CRM plan (which is already the lowest price that HighLevel allows us to publicly sell it for.) You can change your subscription to the lower-price plan by going to “Billing” in the “Settings” side of your dashboard and clicking “Want to modify / cancel the subscription?” and following the prompts. We’ll add a new help article soon to show you all the steps.

To unlock more contacts, more team members, and the Members Portal (courses, communities, and affiliate manager), you might need to upgrade your current subscription plan.

(At this time, downgrading to a smaller plan can’t be done within your dashboard, so just reach out to the Fern Team and we’ll switch your account to the plan you want. No hard feelings and no stress!)

Where to find your subscription status in the Settings
Start inside your Fern CRM dashboard and click over to the Settings side. The click on “Company Billing” in the left sidebar.


This will open your billing info which includes your subscription plan at the very top of the page:

To upgrade your subscription plan, just click on the words “Click here” where it says “Click here to modify your subscription.” This will open a new popup window with your options:

Click on the blue “Upgrade” button to switch to any tier that’s bigger than your current one.
The next screen will show you which options are available to you, based on your current subscription plan.

You can toggle between “Pay Monthly” or “Pay Annually” by using the blue button at the top to see the price differences and choose which way you want to pay for any tier that’s bigger than your current one.
(Even if you choose monthly payments now, you can always switch to annual payments later if you want! Just reach out and we’ll flip the switch on our end.)
When you’ve made your decision, click the green “Upgrade” button for the plan you want.
You’ll have one more chance to confirm before the deal is done.

On the final screen before committing, you still have a chance to switch between monthly and yearly payments by clicking the blue/white button.
This window shows exactly what you’re switching from and switching to. It shows how much you’ll be charged and how often.
When you’re happy with your choice, click the green button that says, “Confirm & Pay”.
Once you confirm, you’ll get a confirmation window that repeats the details like this:

Click the X (or anywhere outside the box) to close this popup window and continue using your Fern CRM account.
Your Company Billing page will immediately show the new subscription plan as your current plan and you’ll be billed at the new price on your next billing date.
