How can we help?
How To Use The Social Media Planner
Everything you ever wanted to know about publishing & scheduling posts, customizing for different platforms, editing images, checking the stats, and all the things you can do inside the Social Media Planner.
We’ve already covered how to connect your accounts in another article here, so this one focuses on how to use the Social Media features.
In a nutshell, you simply open the Social Media Planner, click on the little gear icon to go to the Settings, choose the account you want to connect, follow the prompts to login and accept the connection. (I’ll walk you through an example in the video below.)
The only known issue that makes it more complicated than that involves a Facebook setting related to permissions. When this interferes, the system will ask you to choose which of your Facebook business pages (or Instagram accounts) you want to connect and the dropdown menu is blank, so you can’t choose anything.
If you want step-by-step help with connecting your accounts and/or help with common issues, pop over to this Help Doc article first. Click on the “How To Quickly…” headline to open the full article:

How To Post On Instagram/Facebook
In this video, I’ll walk you through:
- how to publish a post from scratch,
- choose an image from the built-in library (or upload your own),
- edit the image using filters, stickers, text, (and more),
- edit the post to display differently on different platforms,
- adding hashtags to the first comment (if that’s your style),
- and checking the stats to see how the same post performs across platforms
Use the following links to skip to specific steps. These same steps are included as chapters in the video player:
0:00 Introduction
0:13 Social media integrations
0:42 Create a new post
0:55 Adding & editing an image

The same steps work for almost any platform, but we’ll create more videos soon that cover Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. and publish them here when they’re ready.
